SNMG150616 turning insert is a square, double-sided carbide insert with 0° clearance angle, designed for heavy-duty turning and rough machining. Featuring a 15 mm inscribed circle, 6 mm thickness, and 1.6 mm corner radius, it offers excellent edge strength, long tool life, and stable performance. Widely used for steel and cast iron machining on CNC and conventional lathes.

The SNMG150616 is a double-sided, negative-style indexable turning insert made from high-quality cemented carbide. It features a square shape with four cutting edges on each side, providing excellent economy and tool life.
The insert is coated with a multi-layer CVD coating, such as TiCN + Al₂O₃ + TiN, which offers superior wear resistance, high-temperature stability, and reduced friction. The smooth surface finish helps improve chip flow and enhances surface quality on the workpiece.
Thanks to its strong negative geometry and reinforced cutting edge, the insert is ideal for roughing and semi-finishing operations. It performs reliably in machining carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and cast iron, especially under high cutting speeds and heavy cutting conditions.
